Catatan perjalanan - Singapore

We went to Singapore in December 2007. It started with an invitation from my sister in law who stays in JB. She just ask us to come over to her house during school holidays. We agreed and request to visit Singapore as we have never been to Singapore and she agreed.

4/12/07

We travel to JB from Shah Alam after solat maghrib. We reach JB almost midnight. My sister in law is alone at home as her husband and son are also on the way back from KL.

The Underwater world

Initially we plan to go with two cars, but since the 8 of us can fit into Uncle Fadhils Landrover Discovery, so we decided to use only 1 vehicle. We took our breakfast in JB before go into Singapore. We pass thru the TUAS custom. It is quite a strict inspection. It was raining that time and we just mingle around in twin tower. Is not an interesting place at all. After leaving the twin tower, we thought of perform our prayer first as my sister in law cannot jamak like us. We missed the mosque and have to make a u turn don't know where about that make us cover almost quarter of Singapore. After perform our prayer, we went to Pulau Sentosa. It was raining heavily that we cannot do much. We went to underwater world. It was quite interesting, but I can say the Aquaria at KLCC is as good as Singapore UWW.

Since it is already dark and heavy rain, we just go around Pulau Sentosa and leave with heavy heart because nothing much that we can do. We saw a very huge Merlion here. After perform our Maghrib prayer, we leave SIngapore and took our dinner in JB.

Today we leave earlier compared to yesterday. Took our breakfast in JB and pass thru TUAS. The process went on smooth. We went straight to Jurong Bird Park. The park is very interesting and we spent the whole day in the bird park. There are lots of thing to see and experience. The park is very clean with no unpleasant smell.

After leaving Jurong Bird Park, we perform our Asar prayer at a mosque nearby and go around SIngapore city centre and took some photos nearby the Merlion. This Merlion is smaller than the one in Pulau Sentosa. We then proceed to another mosque for our Maghrib nearby Arab street. After maghrib prayer, we went to a restaurant that serve Nasi Beriani and murtabak Singapore. This time we have to pass thru Tambak Johor/woodland which is more hectic and busy compared to TUAS.

It is our last day to visit Singapore and the children are in dilemma whether to go for Science Centre or to visit zoo. Finally they decide for Science Centre. The place is very huge and we cannot even complete half of it. We enjoyed the show in Omni theatre. The center is like a combination of our Pusat Sains Negara, Petrosains at KLCC and Planetarium.

We went to Snow City which is just next to Science Centre. Took our dinner at Mc D in Science centre and leave to a nearby mosque to perform our prayer. We stay at the mosque until maghrib prayer and leave to Orchard Road. We have nothing to buy actually and just walk around for window shopping.

We had our second round dinner in JB after the hard time going thru again the hectic Woodland..

We leave JB after breakfast. We thought of going back straight to Shah Alam, but change our mind and stop at Melaka to overnight at my mum's house. It was quite tiring actually for the past 3 days.

Went back to Shah Alam with few plastics of dirty laundry..

Overall, the visit was quite enjoyable and we promised to go again to visit Singapore Zoo and experience the cable car. There are lots of interesting place in Singapore.
