From Disneyland Park. we went straight back to the apartment to have some rest & dinner. Today Hairul prepare ikan goreng...yummy....for the past 5 days we have been eating chicken & beef only
After the dinner & prayer, we went out again to Paris City. This time Hairul took us to the other part of Paris City. We went to a place named Sacra Cour. It is a church. But it is not the church that attract us, but the view that we can see from the place. It is located at the highest part of the hills.
Then Hairul took us to a place name La Defense which is one of Europe's largest business Centres.
The Grande Arche stands in a grand plaza, surrounded by a series of intriguing modern structures and a vast open-air sculpture show. It is a huge modern gateway, which stands in the modern business district of Paris and is a modern interpretation of the Arc de Triomphe.
The Grande Arche de la Fratenite was completed in 1990 as one of the series of Grand Projetsconceived by President Francois Mitterrand. It was designed to serve as a monument to mark the bicentenary of the storming of the Bastille and the 1789 French Revolution, and was inaugurated in July 1989 with grand military parades. The project designer was Johann-Otto Von Spreckelsen.
The Grande Arche is constructed with a pre stressed concrete frame and is clad in glass and 2,800 panels of white Carrara marble,imported from Italy, which covers 7 acres. The arch is a stunning landmark, and also a giant office block, providing around 90,000sqm of office space over 35 floors for a workforce of more than 2,000 employees
