Jalan-jalan Penang - Day 1

4th November 2010

Kami bertolak lebihkurang jam 7.30 pagi. Hentian pertama kami di Sg Perak. Had 2nd round breakfast cum early lunch.

Then singgah di Juru to meet old time friend , Ida Omar(ex school mate) and had 2nd round lunch at Sg Dua Mee Udang

Ida then help us lead the way to Jetty..sekian lama tak naik feri. So peaceful with the sea breeze plus cahaya matahari yang terik..first time for the children naik feri..

Kami hilang arah tuju how to go about towards Tanjung Bungah. But, as usual, bak kata pepatah, malu bertanya, sesat jalan. So, kami pun berhenti di stesyen minyak dan bertanya. Alhamdulillah akhirnya sampai ke Paradise Beach Resort. Just nice for check in time..

Rehat2 seketika, kami menapak ke Toy Museum. Amazed with the collections, unfortunately we can't stand with the place..the place was so compact and not really systematic..

Then Abang cakap, nak ambik gambar Penang Bridge waktu malam..

Me & Ayah jalan semula balik ke hotel untuk jemput Cik Timah, while the kids tunggu depan museum. Kami ke Gurney Drive, pusing2 then ke arah jambatan. Since it is still early, kami masuk kampus USM..pusing2..it has been so long time ago when I graduated from this Uni in 1990 (20 years)...dah banyak berubah. Yang paling mengecewakan, we used to appreciate the sea view and sunset from rumah tetamu, but now everything were blocked by new buildings..

We had our dinner at kelab sukan USM while watching a football match..After maghrib, then pusing semula and we tried to find a good spot for Abang to take photos of Penang Bridge.

Complete our first day in Penang..off to sleep with headache while the rest enjoying themselves watching TV
